NSS
The full form of NSS is National Service Scheme, popularly known as NSS is governed under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India. NSS is a public service programme sponsored by the Indian Government. This scheme was launched in the year 1969 at the time of Gandhiji’s centenary which aimed at developing the personality of the students through various community services.
The Main motto of NSS is NOT ME. BUT YOU.
In Our College we give admission In NSS through registration.
For College Level B -Certificate , college Conducts a written examination.
For C- Certificate students have to complete their assigned project along with an interview in the university.
OBJECTIVES OF NSS UNIT OF COLLEGE
College has an effervescent NSS unit which has been established with a rudimentary objective of providing a dais for the interested students to partake in social work during their free time. With the objectives as follows
· To understand the community in which they work.
· To understand themselves in relation to their community I To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process.
· To develop among them a sense of social and civic responsibility
· To utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
· To develop competence required for group living and sharing responsibilities
· To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
· To develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters To practice national integration and social harmony
