Course overview:-The term Biotechnology was first used by KARL EREKY in 1919.Biotechnology is the branch of applied sciencein which we use living organism for creating different products (like Genetically modified crops, Genetically modified organisms, Therapeutic products, Biofuels, Pharmaceutical products etc.)
Biotechnology is the vast field that covers all the aspects of Life Science (Genetics,Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Enzymology, Plant Tissue Culture, Animal Tissue Culture, Pharmaceutical, Bioinformatics, and Microbiology etc.).Subject is designed to make a life of aperson easy. In ancient time when we know about only biology it is not possible to maintain Quality and Quantity in single species but with the introduction of Biotechnology now Quality and Quantity is maintained in single species. It’s all because of genetic manipulations and developments.
Eligibility criteria for post graduate course:
- Candidate must have passed class under graduate examination with at least 50% marks and one of the subject in combination Biotechnology, Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Life Science, Bio Chemistry, Bio Informatics
CAREER: -There are different carrier opportunities in the field of Biotechnology after doing UG & PG courses some of the popularareas of employment and job profiles are listed below:
EMPLOYMENT AREAS:-
The domain on which a trained Biotechnologist can work is vast. As there are several disciplines involved in biotechnology, there is a great demand for experts in various industries.
